Top best grills for Small apartments, balconies, small patios, and rooftops. The barbecue grill is one of the most preferred products for the best grill on an apartment balcony. However, you may think this season is not the time to have a BBQ in your garden, patio, or backyard.

We welcome you to research for you. Sometimes, there’s nothing like going back to the origins of things. Barbecuing means burning wood embers. You can’t build a fire pit on your deck or patio, so charcoal is your best option. For many people, charcoal barbecue is the epitome of backyard cooking.

A barbecue grill on the balcony allows you to party in any season. There are a few things to note here. First of all, you need to purchase a barbecue grill according to the area you open to barbecue on the veranda. Second, you must carefully decide what kind of food you will use. Finally, beware of noise from people near your house.

Which BBQ Grill Should I Choose?

Let’s first decide which grill to use. There are many barbecue grills such as charcoal grills, charcoal kettle grills, electric grills, kamado grills, pellet grills, gas, and propane grills. There are pros and cons, so you must decide what you need.

Fuego Element F21C Carbon Steel Gas Grill LP Style: F21C Model Gas Grill

Pros
  • Great looks, eye-catching design.
  • Low costs as per quality!
  • Best Small Charcoal Grill
  • It heats up quickly and cooks well in windy conditions.
  • Small footprint with adequate grill space and capacity.
  • Good build quality should last for years.
  • Easy to clean.
Cons
  • There are no storage boxes.
  • Work surfaces or tool hooks,
  • so you may need a separate table to work with.
  • It’s not exactly wallet-friendly.

Overall dimensions in inches (WxDxH): 21 x 21 x 46. Best mini charcoal grills that showcase a fantastic combination of functionality, versatility and small footprint.

BCBest choice Fuego Element F21C Carbon Steel Gas Grill LP

If your space is tight, but you don’t want to give up a real flame or a grill big enough for a family of four to cook, the Fuego Element F21C can be the ultimate compact gas grill. If you value a charming grill, this is definitely for you!

I’m giving this futuristic grill from Fuego a big style point. Apple’s former chief designer designed this LPG-fired grill. This helps explain why it looks so different from a standard propane barbecue. Elements with a cylindrical design appear to fly into space anytime.

The cylinder cleverly hides the LPG tank and connections in the most space-friendly way. Everything, including the wheels, is no wider than the cooking surface itself. The whole is 21″x21″. This results in a reasonably sized grill (346 square inches) with a small footprint.

Thanks to the round burner and lid balcony grill designs for apartments, this little ‘queue’ can reach 500F in just 5 minutes. Surprisingly, you can set up two temperature zones, shear down to a lower heat like a big boy and then finish. A sturdy grate (15 pounds cast iron) retains heat evenly and can withstand frequent use.

It should be easy to move because it has wheels. This is ideal if you don’t always have room for a barbecue in one place. Just roll it out to bake, then slide it back to remove it when you’re done. The tank is neatly stored underneath, so you’re not tied to a natural gas line or electrical outlet, so you can draw wherever space is available.

Valuable features include a residue tray to catch dripping oil and a thermometer built into the lid. Unfortunately, the cover is not hinged but sits neatly on or hangs from either handle. It would have been nice to see a workbench attached, but I know it will compromise the design aesthetic and add size.

This Fuego looks so cool. Even if you don’t have a small outdoor living space, I’d say it’s worth having. If you don’t like large outdoor kitchens or smokers with trailer hookups, the Fuego may be the best compact gas grill for style and casual barbecues.

Weber Liquid Propane 60010001 Genesis II E-210 LP Grill, Black

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B01JIRL7YS&Format= SL250 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=ftgrills 20&language=en US

Pros
  • Weber builds quality, sturdy and durable.
  • Fold down the side table to keep things in your hands while grilling.
  • built-in thermometer
  • The GS4 high-performance grill system is versatile.
  • Stable infinite ignition system
  • Lots of built-in storage space.
Cons
  • It may seem longer to reach cooking temperature (faster than charcoal).
  • Despite the claims, it’s not portable, size, & weight.
  • Suitable for small spaces.

This is the number one compact gas grill for the best in all specs, features, build quality, and brand reputation.

Weber Liquid Propane 60010001 Genesis II E-210 LP Grill

The Genesis II E-210 is the most miniature model in the Genesis line, but it has a lot in common with its large grille. Great features in a reasonably compact package, including a porcelain enamel cast iron grate, side table with hooks, warming rack, and fuel gauge.

As with full-size barbeques, this compact gas grill has a hinged lid. This is an advantage, but it also means that you need enough free space to open the nearest barrier. Body The body is cast aluminum, and the handle, operation panel, and workbench are made of stainless steel to prevent rusting.

The stand has 4 wheels (2 casters and 2 large casters), so you can move the unit quickly. In addition, the left side table is collapsible, freeing up valuable space for storage.

Under the hood, there’s 380 square inches of cooking space and a 114 square inches warming rack that’s out of the way when not in use. The twin stainless steel gas burners cost 26,000 BTU, and above them are ‘Flavorizer Bars’, metal wedges that turn water droplets into a smokey flavor.

Best Barbeque on an Apartment Balcony

If you dig into the tech gadgets, you’ll be glad to know that the E-210 is an “iGrill 3-ready”. What is it? It is a digital thermometer attached to a ‘Q (sold separately).’ Accessible to send data to a dedicated app installed on a smartphone. Necessary? Very cool? Carrot Pata!

So it’s a well-made, high-quality portable gas grill, but can it fit into a small space? It is 45 inches high. Forty-seven inches wide and 29 inches deep (add 2 inches with lid open). The total weight is 116 pounds. It probably won’t fit your barbeque on an apartment balcony, but it’s perfect for small yards and patios.

This is an excellent product for almost any BBQ user, especially for those with space constraints. But what you want is a budget constraint since it’s not cheap. Nevertheless, you should expect this barbecue to last a very long time and provide an overall high-quality grilling experience.

Char Broil Classic 280 2 Burner Liquid Propane Gas Grill

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B01HITNEEY&Format= SL250 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=ftgrills 20&language=en US

Pros
  • Great value for the price.

  • High heat output for quick and convenient grilling.
  • Easy to maintain and kept clean.
  • Spacious cooking area for couples or small families.
  • The side shelf is excellent for workspace and tools/sources/rubbing.
Cons
  • There is no built-in thermometer, so you must purchase one from a third party.
  • Some users complained about the complex assembly.
  • It can only last a few seasons (you can get it for its cost)

Char-Broil Classic 280 2-Burner Liquid Propane Gas Grill

Sometimes the only requirement for a product is good enough to get the job done. We don’t need bells, whistles, fancy features, or excellent quality. If you think about barbecue, the Classic 280 is a perfect choice for a small backyard grill.

Undoubtedly, this is an essential and inexpensive product. With two burners (20,000 BTU total), you can set up separate temperature zones and expand your grilling options.

Push-button ignition makes it easy to ignite the grill, and I love the large lid handle that protects your fingers from the heat.

The lid and firebox are porcelain-coated steel, and the burner is stainless steel. A porcelain-coated wire mesh over the burner provides 280 square inches of cooking space. Enough for a small family or group. Expect to be able to cook 12 small burgers or multiple steaks at once.

There are also shelves on either side of the cooking area to prepare food and place spices and utensils. As an option, you can order a barbecue with a side burner instead of the left shelf.

You don’t get a thermometer, which is an unfortunate omission. There is also no warming shelf. The wheel stand looks a bit flimsy, and you can easily imagine bending and twisting as it rolls. Still, the overall weight is under 43 pounds, so that’s probably all you need.

Best BBQ for Apartment Balcony Australia

As mentioned at the beginning, this is a lean grill and not for serious grillers. The lack of lid depth and the lack of a thermometer means you can’t do anything other than a reasonably basic roast.

If you’re okay with it, maybe you want to do dog, ribs, wings, and stuff. Then this may not be a bad investment. Affordable BBQ with the flames of a brand name you know.

Kamado Joe Jr. KJ13RH Charcoal Grill 13.5 Blaze Red

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B00IJ74RBO&Format= SL250 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=ftgrills 20&language=en US

Pros
  • One of the most versatile cooking methods available – grilled, smoked, grilled, grilled.

  • Fantastic build quality and lifetime warranty for ceramics.
  • Cooks very evenly
  • Efficient insulation and fuel use (cost savings in the long run!)
  • easy to clean

Cons
  • Relatively expensive for a grill of this size. But you get what you pay for!

  • Ceramics are slightly brittle compared to steel grills.

Kamado Joe Jr. KJ13RH Charcoal Grill

If you’re unfamiliar with kamado-style grills, we recommend reading our features on the best kamado grills.
If you’re familiar with them but know there’s no room for one of the monsters, you can consider one of the smaller options available.

One of the leaders in the Kamado grill segment is Kamado Joe. Kamado Joe has three sizes: Junior, Classic, and Big Joe. Joe Junior is compact enough to place on a patio or balcony but can cook dinner for a couple or a small family.

Grill space is limited to 148.5 square inches (13.5 inches in diameter) of cooking space, but it’s enough to cook four burgers or two steaks at a time.

You can also slow cook a 12-pound turkey or any chicken you can get your hands on.

It might be tempting to go one step further with a mid-size classic, but think carefully about your space and move it around. For example, it would be nice to have an additional 108 square inches of cooking space and 188 pounds (120 pounds heavier than the Junior).

With Kamado Joe Junior at your disposal, your barbecue options open up. Not only can you quickly cook direct heat staples like the burgers mentioned earlier and steaks, but you can also slowly smoke ribs or small brisket. And how many balcony-sized grills do you grill whole chicken or turkey at once?

Joe Junior can get back a fair penny of over $500 MSRP for these little cookers, but with a built-in temperature gauge, 304 stainless steel cooking grill, ceramic heat deflector, grill gripper, and ash tools can save a bit of money. Extra.

It’s also very well made and offers a lifetime of enjoyment, and dual carrying side handles, making it a truly portable grill perfect for camping or tailgate parties. Make sure it suits your needs. If you don’t fall into the low ‘n’ slow, this probably isn’t the outdoor cooker for you.

Overall Dimensions (inches (WxDxH)): 16″ x 22″ x 20.75″ (without stand)

Electric Patio BistroChar Broil 17602047 Infrared

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B01KJGBEZO&Format= SL250 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=ftgrills 20&language=en US

Pros
  • No gas or charcoal is required.

  • Infrared technology distributes heat evenly for even cooking.
  • Easy to clean after use.
  • The collapsible side shelves are great for a work area or something that can be used for cooking.
  • Wheels for portability.
  • Built-in thermometer for temperature monitoring.
  • Low to the high-temperature range.
Cons
  • Preheat slowly to cooking temperature.
  • Heat is lost very quickly when the lid is opened.

Char-Broil 17602047 Infrared Electric Patio Bistro

If your outdoor space is limited to purchasing electricity, but you are a true griller, we are here to help. Here’s an electric grill that looks like a “real” barbecue and offers incredible versatility.

Char-Broil is a well-known manufacturer in the gas and charcoal grill business. However, you may not realize that they also produce two of the best electric grills. This is superlative.

This little outdoor grill has a few cool features: a hinged lid, a thermometer, and a top rack for secondhand cooking and reheating. In addition, convenient wire racks are integrated into the stand and workbenches on either side of the cooking area. I’m happy to be able to fold both shelves down when not needed.

The self-coated cast iron grate provides 240 square inches of cooking surface, excluding the top rack. Char-Broil thinks there’s plenty of room for up to 12 burgers. It might be small, but still not bad for a small grill.

Best Electric Grill For Apartment Balcony

There is a single infrared heating element under the grate, which must reach temperature quickly and uniformly. Underneath it is a large drip pan to catch any oil dripping. The single control knob has an illuminated display which is very useful if you’re grilling in the dark. (Where are those satire fonts?)

Oh, and if you don’t like the color red, you can substitute it with black or graphite.

I’m trying to find out what I don’t like about this product, but I’m struggling. It has the shape of a traditional ‘queue’ and looks like a decent replacement. But, Gee, there’s even a code wrap behind it.

This is a well-thought-out product. Of course, it’s more expensive than George Foreman, but this seems to be a better choice in the electrical category unless you need to draw indoors.

Overall dimensions in inches (WxDxH): 39.8 x 25.6 x 39.8

22-Inch Charcoal Grill Weber 741001 Original Kettle

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B00004RALU&Format= SL250 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=ftgrills 20&language=en US

Pros
  • Classic and proven design.

  • Spacious cooking space in a small area.
  • It can be used for smoked and grilled (after the learning curve, of course…
  • Easy ‘one touch’ cleaning system.
  • The hinged grill grate allows you to reload the charcoal without removing the hot grate.
  • good warranty

Cons
  • Thermometers opposite the lid vents may give inaccurate readings.
  • The 3-leg design can be a bit unstable. Keep children and pets away!
  • best mini electric grill

Weber 741001 Original Kettle 22-Inch Charcoal Grill

The Weber Original Kettle is a classic charcoal grill that many remember from childhood and is still loved by many grillers today. The design has changed little over the years, for a good reason. If it doesn’t break, we won’t repair it! It still appears high on the list of great charcoal grills!

Weber makes all charcoal grills, but the Original Kettle is simple, effective, and compact. Everything you want from a small space grill.

This model is a 22-inch unit with a 363-square-inch cooking surface. Pretty heavy for a ‘queue’ taking up quite a bit of space! If you need a smaller kettle, there is an 18″ version, but I think sticking to the 22″ maximizes versatility.

You’ll love plenty of features about this grill, including an ash catcher on the stand and an easy-open bottom chute. A triangular frame should provide good stability. This is something Weber is proud of. When not needed, the lid can be hung on the side handle. A heat sink is also under the lid handle to keep your hands safe.

All external parts are rustproof, but buying a cover is always a good idea if you want to store it in an exposed area.

As a writer, I like the copies of the informational documents available on the site, especially the “durable all-weather wheels.” It’s an advertisement for “plastic.”

Of course, there are things I don’t like about this grill. For example, there is no thermometer. I know this is a lower-cost device, but would add such a simple gauge cut the margins that much?

There is also no workspace except for a small shelf at the bottom of the stand. Again, think more about structural rigidity than storing accessories.

All in all, this is an excellent option for those who want an essential char-grilling experience. However, do not want to drop many coins in the queue’.

Overall dimensions in inches (WxDxH): 25 x 22.5 x 39.5

If you want to use electricity due to regulations not allowing charcoal or gas in your apartment, then the following two grills are your choice.

George Foreman GFO3320GM Indoor/Outdoor Gun Metal Electric Grill

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B00TQIUUXO&Format= SL250 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=ftgrills 20&language=en US

Pros
  • It is large enough for 15 people to cook.

  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
  • The unique slope removes fat from food while cooking.
  • Easy to clean non-stick surfaces.
  • Detachable Stand
  • Classic George Foreman grill loveable.

Cons
  • Lack of power – electricity bills is not easy.
  • It tends to be easier to use when not on a stand.

Best Portable George Foreman GFO3320GM Gun Metal Electric Grill

The infomercial may have been ridiculous (I think that’s the point of the infomercial). Still, I can tell you from my personal experience that the George best for Indoor/Outdoor Foreman grill is the best balcony grill 2022, a pretty good product!

I’ve always been happy with the results of “baking” all kinds of small meats, burgers, sausages, and sausages with this bit of device. Part of the trick is to manage your expectations. This is not a competitive-rated smoker! But when proper grilling isn’t an option, I still prefer foremen over frying pans.

Even when using charcoal or gas is prohibited by local regulations, you can still simulate a barbecue experience by cooking outdoors with the GFO3320.

Best Balcony Grill

This standard George Foreman grill on a stand makes it an outdoor small grill. It conveniently detaches from the shelf and can be used indoors or as a tabletop grill on the go. It also has these benefits, as it is a concave-and-convex frying pan. The non-stick ceramic coating ensures even heating, and the cooking surface can be removed and cleaned.

For these low-profile machines, the cooking surface is quite large at 240 square inches. However, you have exact control over how hot it gets, and the built-in thermometer tells you if you’re at the right temperature.

Of course, everyone knows that George Foreman Grill removes grease and drips from meat, and this model is no exception. Oil flows down the hole in the center of the grate down to the drip tray. You don’t get a smoky flavor from the drips, but neither do you fry them in your oil.

Is it BBQ? No, I’m not going to pretend that. Better than no barbecue at all? I think so. At least you can cook outdoors and enjoy the weather and the social aspects of using the balcony grill. Please don’t buy an electric grill unless you need it. But if you don’t have another choice, you have options.

Overall dimensions (inches (WxDxH)): 20 x 19.5 x 11 (without stand)
